Messages from StarClan to guide your story
Generate prophecies to see your history
Prophecies are central to the Warriors universe. Delivered by StarClan through dreams, visions, or medicine cats, these cryptic messages guide (and sometimes mislead) the Clans through their greatest challenges.
The most memorable prophecies in Warriors are open to interpretation. "Fire alone will save the Clan" could mean many things - and that ambiguity is what makes them powerful storytelling tools.
Use these generated prophecies as inspiration for your fanfiction, roleplay, or original stories set in the Warriors world. The best prophecies leave room for your characters to discover their meaning.
"Fire alone will save the Clan."
— Spottedleaf to Bluestar, foretelling Firestar's arrival
"There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paws."
— The prophecy of the Three
"Darkness, air, water, and sky will come together and shake the forest to its roots."
— The Great Journey prophecy
Prophecies are cryptic messages from StarClan, delivered through dreams, visions, or omens. They use metaphorical language and nature imagery. Medicine cats are the primary receivers, though leaders and chosen cats may also receive them.
Good prophecies are cryptic enough to allow multiple interpretations but specific enough to be recognized when fulfilled. They often use nature metaphors (fire, water, shadow, light), mention numbers symbolically, and have a poetic quality.
Prophecies come from StarClan - the spirits of deceased Clan cats. They're typically delivered to medicine cats at the Moonpool/Moonstone, but can also appear in dreams to leaders, deputies, or cats central to the prophecy.
Yes! A major theme in Warriors is that prophecies can be misinterpreted. Cats often assume they know what a prophecy means, only to discover a different meaning later. Use this ambiguity when writing your character backstories.
